I had supper there on two occasions.. my first experience was as a party of 6 with a celebrity aquaintance as my guest. Wanting to make a good impression I was mortified at the embarrasingly poor service and further stunned by the poor treatment of the situation by the management. I had non-chalantly excused myself to the washroom and made a B line to the manager asking for the problems to be SUBTLEY corrected, so as to not embarrass myself or guests. On my return from the washroom and back to the table I was horrified to see the flurry of 4 waitstaff personnel creating a clamour around the table.. only made worse by an asst. manager knelt down apolgzing to one of my guests.. So much for discreet! The service aside from the flurry of activity did not improve and I was sent an apology and invitation to a comp'd dinner. Out of town friends had heard of the hotel and wanted to try it. So I assured myself it was a fluke and returned. Wrong.. service was nothing better than passable and actually annoying in its presentation. Again.. the Blue Door succeeded in embarrassing me. I might suggest a stop in for a drink at one of the bars and a stroll along the pool to soak in the beauty of the property... stop in at McDonalds for dinner before hand.. you might get better service!
